Our Work

The MS Care Centre is Ireland’s only dedicated respite and therapy centre for people with Multiple Sclerosis. It offers short-term respite care, therapeutic services, neurological assessments and many social activities in a homely environment in the suburbs of Dublin.

Our ‘home away from home’ is a place of rest and relaxation for people all over Ireland. However, it is also a place for people to learn more about their MS and find ways to self manage their condition. Each week 12 residents enjoy a number of social and therapeutic activities such as yoga, massage, day trips, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and a personalised nursing assessment.

Resident’s individual needs and choices are catered for by our experienced therapists, nurses and care staff. Our multi-disciplinary team work with residents to maximise their independence and quality of life. We have a dedicated doctor on call and all our bedrooms are fully accessible with en suite bathrooms. We cater for all levels of abilities and specialise in caring for those with high-care needs.

The Centre also enables family members to take a break from caring, relaxed in the knowledge that their loved one is receiving the best care possible and accessing therapies and programmes possibly not available in their own area.

The Centre also provided limited respite to a number of people with other neurological conditions such as stroke, muscular dystrophy and Parkinson disease.
