Participating in my 1st MS Readathon

My Story

I was diagnosed with MS four years ago and it was life changing for me. I was terrified initially and worried about what the future held. I was lucky to have a supportive family and so many wonderful friends to help me through and now I would like to give something back to MS Ireland. I hope that I can raise some funds through the Readathon.

Throughout November I am taking part in a reading challenge…..and it’s all for an incredible cause. I am reading as many books as possible to raise funds for people living with MS and their families. Now, more than ever the MS community need services and support. Funds raised by readers like me around the country directly support vital services. Services such as the MS Ireland Information Line, one-to-one support for those newly diagnosed, physiotherapy and exercise classes to help people with MS remain independent as well as respite care.
