MS Readathon Competition Terms & Conditions

Fundraising Prize Draw Terms & Conditions – Over 100 prizes including book vouchers, signed books , MS Readathon hats and tshirts.

  1. This promotion is open to all 2024 MS Readathon Child participants (under 18) who are a resident in Ireland and who raise €25 for the MS Readathon by 11:59 PM 31st December 2024
  2. For each €25 raised, the registered MS Readathon participant will receive one entry into the draw to win one of over 100 prizes. 
  3. The winners will be determined by a random draw of valid competition entrants.
  4. This prize draw will be publicised via email, phone and social media.
  5. This competition period commences at 8am (GMT) 24th of October and finishes on 31st December 2024.
  6. This draw will take place the following week.
  7. MS Readathon does not take any responsibility for any technological issues that prevent a registration being processed in time or that cause a disparity between the time the registration is recorded on the MS Readathon system and the time shown on your registration confirmation.  In order to avoid any disappointment, please submit all online registrations in good time to ensure that they are processed before the cut-off. 
  8. MS Readathon shall notify the winner via email.MS Readathon may publish the name of the winner on msreadathon.ie and/or on our social media accounts.
  9. If the prize is not claimed in writing by Monday 30th Jan 2025, the prize may be forfeited and MS Readathon may award the prize to another entrant, drawn randomly in the same manner as set out in clause 3.
  10. MS Readathon reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process.
  11. The prize is not redeemable for cash or other products and is not transferable.  The prize can only be claimed by verbal or written acceptance by the winner.
  12. MS Readathon reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes if necessary due to unavailability of the notified prizes.
  13. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, then subject to any compulsory law to the contrary, MS Readathon reserves the right to cancel the competition.
  14. All entries become the property of MS Readathon. All information contained in the entries and details of the winners will be held in accordance with MS Readathon’s Privacy Policy, which can be accessed by visiting https://www.msreadathon.ie/privacy-statement

  2. For each €50 raised, the registered MS Readathon participant will receive one entry into the draw to win a Bike or a family day out.  
  3. The winners will be determined by a random draw of valid competition entrants.
  4. This prize draw will be publicised via email, phone and social media.
  5. This competition period commences at 8am (GMT) 24th September and finishes on 31st December 2024.

Languages Connect Prize Draw Terms & Conditions – Book Bundles

This promotion is open to all 2024 MS Readathon Child participants (under 18) who are a resident in Ireland who read and log books in a foreign language other than English or Irish and who raise €50 for the MS Readathon by 11:59 PM 31th December 2024. To be entered int the draw participants MUST let us know prior to the draw date by emailing read@msreadathon.ie 
  2. For each €50 raised, the registered MS Readathon participant will receive one entry into the draw to win a Book Bundle. 
  3. The winners will be determined by a random draw of valid competition entrants.
  4. This prize draw will be publicised via email, phone and social media.
  5. This competition period commences at 8am (GMT) 24th September and finishes on 31th December 2024.

  1. The amount raised is based on the funds visible on the official MS Readathon participant / school fundraising page as of 11:59PM (GMT) 31th Dec 2024.
  2. The winners of the MS Readathon awards will be publicised via email, phone and social media.
  3. This competition period commences at 8am (GMT) 4th October and finishes on 15th December 2024.
  4. MS Readathon shall notify the winners via email and/or phone by 10th January 2025. MS Readathon may publish the names of each winner on msreadathon.ie and/or on our social media accounts.
  5. Prizes will be sent to winners once notified.
  6. MS Readathon does not take any responsibility for any technological issues that prevent a registration being processed in time or that cause a disparity between the time the registration is recorded on the MS Readathon system and the time shown on your registration confirmation.  In order to avoid any disappointment, please submit all online registrations in good time to ensure that they are processed before the cut-off.

Creative Writing/Drawing Weekly Competition Terms & Conditions

  1. This competition is open to all 2024 MS Readathon participants who are a resident in Ireland and under 18 years old.
  2. Every creative writing story submitted gives a registered MS Readathon participant one entry into the competition to win some amazing prizes.
  3. MS Readathon employees and related parties of MS Readathon are ineligible to enter. 
  4. The winners will be determined by a judging panel of valid competition entrants.
  5. This competition may be publicised via email and social media.
  6. This competition period commences at 8am (GMT) 4th October and finishes on 15th December 2024.
  7. The judging will take place on throughout the reading month of November.
  8. MS Readathon does not take any responsibility for any technological issues that prevent a story submission being processed in time or that cause a disparity between the time the submission is recorded on the MS Readathon system.  In order to avoid any disappointment, please submit all online submissions in good time to ensure that they are processed before the cut-off. 
  9. Prize will be fulfilled by MS Readathon.
  10. MS Readathon shall notify the winners via email or telephone. MS Readathon may publish the names of each winner on msreadathon.ie and/or on our social media accounts.
